Heather Griffin
Heather Griffin is an artist that has developed a personal visual language in mark making, which is presented in her paintings on cloth and acrylic ink drawings. The process of mark making is an instinctive reaction to an event or an emotional state which makes the work autobiographical. The work contains metaphorical imagery (often floral) that helps to evoke memories concerning personal relationships.

Griffin uses a mixture of digital and hand techniques, layering or trapping elements either through photography or physically in hard materials such as clear casting resin or wax. The process of encapsulating items is an attempt to capture the ephemeral and preserve a moment in time.
